Do you know why everyone loves Chinese chicken that much? Because it’s super delicious! This recipe is a bit different from usual classic Chinese chicken recipes, pineapples give more refreshing and exotic taste to the chicken.
- 250g chicken breasts
- 200g canned pineapples
- 100ml pineapple juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 pinch parsley
- 5 tablespoons oil
- 1 pinch ground ginger
- 150ml chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 100ml wine, dessert
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
In a medium bowl, combine minced parsley, 1 tablespoon of oil, soy sauce, a pinch of salt and ground black pepper. Cut chicken into thin strips. Rub the chicken strips with the mixture of parsley, oil and soy sauce.
Set aside for at least 30 minutes.
Coat the chicken pieces with starch. In a skillet fry the chicken pieces in oil until brown and crispy. Add pineapples. Cover the skillet with a lid and braise over low heat.
In a separate pot, add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Combine the remaining starch, pineapple juice, ground ginger and dessert wine. Transfer this mixture to the pot.
Coat the cooked chicken with this sauce. Serve hot with rice.
