We all know how amazing Nutella is. We all like to include Nutella in many various meals – cakes, sandwiches, cookies and even salad. And there goes the good news – it is possible to make it at home and it is simple! Some even say that it is even tastier than the one bought from a store. Try for yourself 😉
- 1.5 cups hazelnuts
- 2 cups water
- 3 tablespoons baking soda
- 140 g milk chocolate
- 140 g dark chocolate
- 6 tablespoons whipping creme (35% fat)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons icing sugar
- 0.5 teaspoons salt
- 0.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 0.2 teaspoons almond extract
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Lay baking paper on a baking sheet and spread the hazelnuts on it. Toast them in the oven for approximately 15 minutes (every 5 minutes stir the nuts)
Boil two cups of water in a pot. Stir in baking soda. Add hazelnuts and cook for about 3 minutes.
Drain the nuts and place them in cold water. Remove skins.
Grind the hazelnuts in a food processor until you get paste.
Add butter, cocoa powder, icing sugar, salt, vanilla and almond extracts and continue grinding until the mass is very smooth.
Melt the chocolate and pour whipping creme in it. Heat while stirring but do not bring to the boil. Let the mixture cool down a bit.
Combine hazelnut mixture with melted chocolate, stir well.
Let it cool. Your homemade Nutella will be good to go for up to two weeks!
